Who are we?
We are Dave and James, Bournemouth DJ's aiming to put the party spirit into your party. We are brothers and have been working as DJ's both together and seperately for many years (Dave-10 years; James-4 years). Our father has been a professional DJ for many years (40+ years), when we reached our teenage years our father starting taking us (Dave first, then James a few years later) out with him to 'roadie' for him. This was a great way for us to learn the 'trade', and after this we started catering for functions within our own family, this led onto both of us eventually starting out on our own as DJ's, in 2009 we decided we would team up and start 'Purple Party People' to offer a unique party experience to family audiences, and bring both of our seperate disco roadshows under the one banner.

Events We Cover
We are available for any family event, as we specialise in playing a wide range of music from the 50's through to the present day. Whether you are looking for a DJ to play a mix of background music, and some party classics or if you are looking for a DJ to provide a childrens disco leading into a adult disco - we can help! We can also offer specialist services for children and teenage birthday parties. One of the other services which we provide is daytime wedding disco's, although we are able to cater for weddings, we also offer a service to run a childrens party during the day to keep the children entertained, this normally includes a disco, some party games and prizes.

When we provide you with a disco, our DJs will always play a selection of music to suit the tastes of your guests, we will liase with you to ensure the night runs how you would like it to. For instance, if you would like background music for the initial stages of your party, and then a childrens session. Our aim is to please you and your guests with our fantastic disco service.

Not only do we play the best selection of music to keep your guests smiling, and tapping their feet - we can also run party games, to add an interactive element to your event. We find this is a great way to get everyone to loosen up before strutting their stuff on the dancefloor.

Where possible, we try and work together (we will advise you at the time of booking), allowing one us to work behind the desk controlling the music and lighting effects, which leaves one of us to occasionally wander around with our radio microphones to talk to your guests, get them up on the dancefloor, take requests and generally provide a more fun function! This is particularly useful at childrens events, where we also use the radio microphones to get children singing.

Prices
Unlike other DJ's we offer a transparent pricing tariff. These are our standard prices, but please do call for an indivudal quote as we often have special offers and prices available, and events local to us are often much cheaper than the list price below.

Base Fee: £80.00 +
£22.50 per hour, minimum 2 hours
4th hour free before if it falls before midnight
After midnight £50.00 per hour
